You couldn’t have asked for a warmer welcome and friendly people to meet us. Everyone here extremely helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We thank everyone who made our Honeymoon extra special, the ‘surprise’ vegetarian meal made out of the blue to the platter of food in our room due to a late/delayed arrival; the sparkling wine and most of all the amazing hospitality.  This is a real treasure and a wonderful place, please don’t change a thing.  We love it and hope to be back for a third time.

Very deceptive as you arrive outside. It is a small hotel but done to a superb standard.
The staff are all friendly and the restaurant good value with good quality, (I only wish it opened later in the evening).

It’s across the road from the ocean and four mile beach, whilst at the same time it is only one street away from the main street with various restaurants/bars if you seek a change.
All this whilst in a quiet location!

There are even the free use of their washing machines (which on a long trip is a Godsend).
Not the cheapest, but you certainly get what you pay for.

This hotel is situated just across the road from the famous Four Mile Beach, and within a short stroll of the centre of Port Douglas. It is very comfortable and has an excellent restaurant called the Hi-Tide, which is well worth a visit. The staff here are very friendly to the extent that you feel as if you are staying as a guest in a private house. In the restaurant, on hearing our accents, they wanted to know where we had been, where we were going, what had we thought of everything so far. In fact I began to feel a little uneasy because our conversation was clearly holding up service for some of the other diners, but nobody seemed bothered. We were made to feel very welcome and would certainly return to the Peninsula if visiting Port Douglas again.

Sunshine in Port Douglas Keeps Visitors Happy
