How to get to Port Douglas

Peninsula Boutique Hotel is perfectly located, overlooking Four Mile Beach and the Coral Sea in quiet seclusion on the Esplanade at the quiet end of Macrossan Street.

Port Douglas is the quintessential Tropical Queensland destination. It’s the place where glittering green merges into blue; the only place on Earth where two World Heritage listed jewels exist; the Great Barrier Reef and the rainforest of the mighty Daintree River and Cape Tribulation coupled with palm fringed shores of Four Mile Beach.

Today, the sleepy seaside fishing village of yester-year retains its charm and way of life seamlessly whilst being an international resort destination for the discerning traveler. With its pristine wilderness, total tranquility, superb golf courses and a wealth of activities including the magnificent underwater world of the Great Barrier Reef, this is a magnetic destination.

Port Douglas’ cosmopolitan village sits on an isthmus beside the sparkling waters of Dickson Inlet and the rolling waves of the Coral Sea. Overlooking ‘Port’, as everyone calls it, is Island and Flagstaff Hill Lookout which is the best place to capture the striking views of the town and its superb Four Mile Beach with views to Low Isles. Port’ is also renowned for its Sunday markets. Images of village and markets
